Brands by type of appliance

Brands in the same class tend to break in the same places, so here is how we group them and what we see most.

Premium and built-in

Sub-Zero, Wolf, Miele, Thermador, Viking and Fisher and Paykel.

Built-in and premium units fail differently from a standard appliance. Sealed-system and compressor faults, failed control boards, worn door seals and weak igniters come up most, and some parts take longer to get. These machines sit inside cabinetry, so we diagnose and repair them in place without taking the kitchen apart.

Mainstream kitchen

Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, KitchenAid, Maytag, Frigidaire and Bosch.

These are the brands we are called out to most. On fridges the usual suspects are the defrost system, evaporator fan and ice maker. Dishwashers mostly need a drain pump, inlet valve or door latch, and ranges a heating element, igniter or control board. Most of those parts are common, so many repairs finish in one visit.

Laundry

Laundry machines wear where they move. Washers tend to fail at the drain pump, door lock, belt or bearings, and dryers at the heating element, thermal fuse, belt or vent. We service older models as well as current ones.

Range hoods usually come in with a weak or noisy fan, a failed motor, or a dead control panel or light. Wine coolers such as Presrv typically need attention for cooling and temperature control faults or a worn door seal.
